Thorns of a Dead Rose

Things might appear extrinsically so appealing and the urge to hold and own them quite overwhelming. This is what Njuguna, a young businessman, perceived of Njoki. She would make a perfect life partner. The feelings of passion overcame him. They say love is blind, but when it opened its eyes, Njuguna’s world had changed. The love he once felt had escaped; his lovely home frowned at him and his once free hands were… Njoki, the rose he had seen and picked had become thorny. What will Njuguna do after realising that what he once felt for Njoki was not love?
